Brain Behind

” When years of silence breaks; What flows out are not mere words, but stories !!”

Asif Khan Dehlvi, born and brought up under the mystical influence of Sufi fakirs of Chiragh Delhi, is one such storyteller, born out of years of silently absorbing experiences and life around him.

Like everyone else, his career too started with a typical corporate job, but his heart yearned for a deeper connect with people and places. Out of this passion was envisaged a heritage group called ‘Delhi by Foot’. In November 2013, Asif rebranded his stories and ‘Delhi Karavan’, came into shape.

Through the Karavan, Asif has taken his musafirs to a beautiful journey to Delhi’s rich heritage, culture and life of it’s people and rulers. Most people refer to Delhi as their ‘mehbooba’ (lover), but Asif begs to differ, calling this city of djinns as his ‘buzurg’ (the elderly). A buzurg under whose shade he weaves his stories.

It is his vision to make Delhi Karavan, an endless journey of stories, and he dreams of taking the karavan to the entire length and breadth of the country.

Asif Khan Dehlvi, is also a poet and speaker, having been invited to various forums to share his experiences and stories. He also loves to capture unusual stories around him and framing stories through his pictures.
